Theme focus: The battle against sin

Why is there so much talk about battle in the Bible? What does this mean for us?

The whole Bible is a call to action, urging us to arm ourselves and wage war against our mortal enemy: sin. It says in no uncertain terms that we as Christians are to live an overcoming life in our battle against sin. And that victory isn’t “by the skin of our teeth:” we are to be more than conquerors! This is the normal Christian life. A life in which sin, which comes from our flesh, has no control over our actions and reactions, but that we rather overcome it in order to do God’s will. It is a love for Jesus, our Savior and Forerunner on this way of victory that causes a longing to overcome, and which becomes the driving force in our lives.

Follow along as we explore who and what our enemy is, what victory really means, how to recognize and overcome every temptation, and what it is we are really fighting for. This is a way that leads to eternal life.

I Am Crucified With Christ

This booklet is based on Paul’s words in Galatians 2:20: “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me …” Here Elias Aslaksen explains what this means and how the reader can have the same testimony as Paul in their own life.
