Are you called aside to be Jesus’ bride?

SONG: A song about walking worthy of our calling, and what the results will be.

The greatest calling that a person can have on this earth is to be a part of Jesus’ bride. It’s up to each of us to make sure that we are walking worthy of this calling. The end result? We will be an eternal star together with Him!

What does it mean to be a part of Jesus’ bride? It means spending eternity together with Him. But only after we’ve spent our time on earth proving that we are worthy of such an incredible inheritance. We need to spend our time learning of the Master so that we become like Him. In order to be worthy of this eternal life we need to fight to keep ourselves pure from sin and from the evil of this world, so “that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.” Ephesians 5:27.

As the song says, it’s a life that shines forth in this world as well, so that others can see the life of Christ in us and He might be glorified through us. Our lives must show forth what grace is! If we are faithful to live this life of learning to be like Jesus while we are here on earth, the incredible reward is that we will be with Him eternally.

Lyrics

Are you called aside to be Jesus’ bride?
Of your calling, then, walk worthy –
From this world set free, His alone to be,
As His bride to be made ready.
Break now every band; pure in spirit stand.
Let the world no more deceive your soul.
O be firm and stand; die with Jesus, and
You will be a star eternal.

Are you raised for sure? Is your life a star?
Do you sit in heav’nly places?
Does your pathway shine with God’s light divine?
Does your life show forth what grace is?
Does His life in you help free others too?
Can they see the morning star in you?
O be firm and stand; die with Jesus, and
You will be a star eternal.

Are you called aside to be Jesus’ bride?
Of your calling, then, walk worthy –
From this world set free, His alone to be,
As His bride to be made ready.
