Your mighty work among us, Lord, we’re seeing
SONG: A song of praise to God for the work He is doing in us!
God’s work among Christians is to build the body of Christ. (Ephesians 4:11-16) We are called to be a part of that amazing work! This song is an expression of that work, of how the body is built up, and of thanksgiving to God that we have the grace to be along in it. It’s an eye-opener, a reminder to keep our focus on what really matters – using our time to prepare ourselves for eternity!
Lyrics: Your mighty work among us, Lord, we’re seeing
Your mighty work among us, Lord, we’re seeing.
Your church on earth grows forth in purity;
Called to express Your life, our glorious being –
How great, how blest our lot when this we see!
Our songs of praise rise up to God on high!
His name we bless and magnify!
From all the earth now gathers Jesus’ bride,
For whom our Lord and Savior died.
You build Your body here on one foundation.
Through battles every member must be tried.
We know this calling brings us tribulation
While on life’s sojourn here as Jesus’ bride.
Our songs of praise rise up to God on high!
His name we bless and magnify!
From all the earth now gathers Jesus’ bride,
For whom our Lord and Savior died.
God’s temple rises; stones are built together,
And we are called to stand as pillars strong,
To bear the load, support and help each other.
How great this call! How blest to be along!
Our songs of praise rise up to God on high!
His name we bless and magnify!
From all the earth now gathers Jesus’ bride,
For whom our Lord and Savior died.
In love esteeming highly one another,
Here in the brotherhood we’ve found our place.
We’ll give our life, with gladness, for each other.
Our lives are changed forever by God’s grace.
Our tribulations short and light will be!
We thank our God that this we see.
Think that we live in such amazing days!
The God of heaven we thank and praise!
